Ipswich-based independent creative digital agency Crafted Media recently completed a recruitment process resulting in three new members of staff to join their Ipswich studio team.

Since moving into more spacious offices in Orwell Place this March, Crafted Media has looked to expand its workforce to cope with an ever increasing client portfolio.

Habib Rehman brings the firm’s technical team up to five. Having graduated in Computer Science (University of Essex) and spent two years with an Ipswich-based software development company he brings a wealth of experience to the team using the latest Microsoft technologies for web development.

Jamie Lawrence, from Ipswich, takes on the role of copywriter with Crafted Media’s search marketing team. He recently graduated in Politics from the University of Durham.

Hannah Olley joins the company as studio support providing a much welcome extra pair of hands to all team members & organising the company’s internal affairs. She comes from Great Yarmouth and was previously employed by an Ipswich-based stockbroker.

The expansion follows a series of appointments of senior team members in the first half of this year, bringing the total number of staff members up to 15 from just six at the start of 2008.

With several new clients joining the agency’s roster, business development director Brad Warwick thinks the appointments have come at just the right time.

“Although some of our clients have been affected by the credit crunch, we have seen a marked increase in the projects we are taking on. Many of our current clients, impressed by our work, have expanded their own operations online making the most of what is a very accountable medium during these challenging times,” says Brad.

“As our client portfolio and workload diversifies, we benefit more and more from a unique and powerful skill set gained by having a workforce trained in traditional and cutting edge IT and design practices.”

“As well as bringing new creativity to current work, the creation of new positions also allows us to further develop the services we offer.”
