Experts have suggested that one way to improve the ranking of a website is to build a substantial amount of content based on a similar theme.
According to Promotion World, those involved in search marketing may be able to boost the presence of a firm by uploading a "substantial amount of pages" about the same topic.
John Foley, of Promotion World, said: "Build a blog with over 200 pages of content on the same theme and youll increase your chances of ranking well as search engines will see you as an authority on the topic."
He noted that search engine optimisation (SEO) practitioners need to continue to adapt their strategies to remain competitive and warned that the best website in the world could be rendered ineffective if a bot cannot extract content from it.
Mr Foley added that good SEO involves having readable content and expert SEO is effectively using title tags and keyword-rich content.
Another method of increasing traffic to a site and boosting search engine rankings is to upload press releases featuring the company's name and keywords, according to Sarah Evans, a communications academic in the US.
