Property sector 'putting more money into online marketing'
05/11/2008
Firms in the property industry are spending increasing amounts of money on online marketing, it has been claimed.
According to New Media Age, companies are choosing to sell their products and services on the internet through search marketing and other techniques.
Michael Nutley, editor in chief of the publication, noted that the struggling sector is choosing to use the web for cheaper and more effective marketing.
He commented: "When you look at the property sector, it's struggling and they're moving their money to online marketing because that's going to get them results."
These results may be achieved using methods such as search engine optimisation, pay-per-click advertising and other search marketing techniques.
The Internet Advertising Bureau and PricewaterhouseCoopers recently released a report showing that internet advertising revenue in the first half of 2008 was up 15.2 per cent from the same period in 2007.
Search and display related ads were found to be the leading format, accounting for 44 per cent and 33 per cent respectively.
