03/11/2008

A recent study has revealed that the majority of travel companies are looking to increase the amount they spend on search engine optimisation (SEO).

Out of 88 companies polled, more than half said that they were planning to increase budgets and a quarter said that their online marketing budgets were likely to go up by between 11 and 50 per cent, reports Travel Mole.

SEO was found to be one of the main sectors in which companies wanted to improve, with two-thirds stating that this was their main priority.

Half said that they wanted to improve the destination content and 47 per cent wanted to spend more on Adwords.

Unique content was also found to be of great interest to travel companies, with four in ten choosing to make it one of their priorities.

In related news, Daniel Robinson of Vizcom Design asserted that the recession could be a good time for smaller companies to invest in SEO, reports ClickThrough-Marketing.com.
