A study has found that Google is continuing to cement its dominant position in the online world.
The company boosted the number of sites it runs by 411,000 last month, making its total growth in this period second only to Apache which expanded by 463,000, reports Netcraft.com.
This takes the number of websites on Google's webserver software up to 10.5 million overall.
Google now has the third largest market share for servers across all domains since August 1995, with Apache taking the top spot and Microsoft the second.
As well as hosting other firms and individuals' webpages, Google also hosts a number of its own services, such as Google Frontend, its main search engine, and GFE/1.3, which is used by its blogger service.
In related news, the Mercury news recently reported that the Justice Department and lawyers are becoming concerned with the size of Google and the huge share of the online advertising and search market that it controls.
