Links and keywords 'are central to SEO'
27/10/2008
Companies looking to maximise their visibility in the search engine rankings should look at their use of links and keywords.
According to the SearchEngineOptimizationJournal.com, the management of these two factors determine how effective search engine optimization (SEO) will be.
Nick Stamoulis, an expert at the online portal, stated that much of the success of SEO is not based on page, it is off-page.
He notes: "Keywords and links, for instance, can work together to produce effective anchor text for your inbound links."
Mr Stamoulis said that using links correctly can make anchor text "instrumental" in helping firms to achieve impressive SEO results, adding that it was essential to manage keywords and links.
In related news, Jill Whelan, an SEO professional, recently asserted that there should not be any standards imposed on the SEO industry, saying that companies should have their own code of ethics, reports businessfeet.com.
