SEO - "Just do it"

An expert in the search engine marketing (SEO) sector has said that the best way to learn SEO is to "just do it".

Jill Whalen, owner of High Rankings, said that while there are a number of books and conferences available to those getting into SEO, nothing could beat practical experience.

In an interview with Entrepreneur.com, she said: "If at the end of the day you don’t simply roll up your sleeves and see what works for your site and what doesn’t, then what’s the point?"

Ms Whalen said that the secret to search engine rankings was thinking about what search engines actually want.

She went on to explain that they want the best and most relevant pages to show up to their users.

Experts at Precision Marketing asserted that a combination of direct mail and SEO is one of the best ways to "bring brands to life" as 28 per cent of respondents said they feel "valued" when contacted by a firm through the post.
