Economic crisis to boost ecommerce

A recent study has revealed that the ongoing economic crisis is likely to boost sales for ecommerce sites.
Conducted by Linkshare, the research found that increasing numbers of consumers are looking for bargains online to make their money stretch as far as possible, reports The PayPers.
A total of 45 per cent of all respondents said that they go to consumer review websites to research their purchases both in online stores and high-street shops.
Approximately half said they go back to these sites to try to take advantage of regular promotions.
Marketing experts are increasingly taking note of this trend and are looking to increase the amount spent on online advertising, according to a report by Institute of Practitioners in Advertising.
In related news, Michael Bloch of The Epoch Times stated that ecommerce is better for the environment as it minimises gas and emissions. This could also save fuel and money, another advantage in the current economic climate.
