A recent poll has revealed that a large proportion of executives believe that Web 2.0 is the best way to market to those born between 1982 and 1984.
Approximately 40 per cent said that Web 2.0 technologies such as webcasts and online forums are the best way to serve this demographic, reports the Economist Intelligence Unit.
However, more than half of those surveyed said that they do not have a plan to target this group of people.
Companies involved in ecommerce may be interested to know that the survey also revealed that convenience was the most important factor when considering making a purchase.
This was followed by "overall style and taste", peer recommendation and accessibility. Surprisingly, price turned out to be one of the least important considerations.
In related news, David Chartier of ARS Technica recently claimed that businesses are likely to "embrace" Web 2.0 tools as the prices drop.
