SEO important in top B2B media company rankings

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is becoming an increasingly important feature in deciding the business-to-business (B2B) media company rankings, it has been claimed.
According to the B2B Online Media Report, SEO is "playing an increasingly important role" in working out which B2B sites move up its rankings.
Other trends identified as important included increased content on company's websites.
This is related to SEO as larger numbers of keywords can be included on the site, which can in turn result in better Google rankings and a higher volume of traffic to the site.
The report asserts that increasing numbers of firms are offering things like industry research, supplier credit reports, export guidelines and verification services on their pages.
In an article on itnewsafrica.com, Graham Jones states that creating a site that other people want to visit is as important as SEO and good web design.
He cites the recent sale of Bankaholic for over $12.4 million (£7.5 million) as an example of the value of high quality content.
