13/10/2008

Recent research has revealed that over nine out of ten retailers use search engine optimisation (SEO) to boost their online presence and increase sales.

This method of online marketing was found to be significantly more popular than social media tools and video marketing, reports BusinessFeet.com.

In addition, 93 per cent also stated that they believed SEO would increase in effectiveness over the next three years.

Only 47 per cent of those polled by SLU Systems said they would use the former, while just under one third thought that online video would be utilised in their strategies.

Susan Aldrich, senior vice president at the Patricia Seybold Group, commented: "Retailers are competing for consumer dollars, and they can compete better by bringing new tools to the customer experience."

In related news, a tax attorney from the US has announced that it has hired the services of an SEO company to cement its position as the top law firm in Dallas.
