B2B SEO 'should have keyword rich headers'
25/09/2008
Companies looking to maximise the efficiency of their business-to-business (B2B) search engine optimisation (SEO) should include keywords in their headers, it has been claimed.
Experts at Searchengineland.com stated that it may be advisable to include keywords in the headline, even if the titles are "creative" and "engaging".
Galen DeYoung noted that if they are not in the generic title, there should be an alternative headline which features them.
He says that visitors to the site will then get the impact of the "persuasive" and punchy header but the SEO will not be compromised.
Mr DeYoung added that copywriters inserting keywords into articles should ensure that they are aware of singular and plural usage.
The reason for this is that different results can be returned depending on the whether or not the search term is singular.
