Search marketing 'could help beat the credit crunch'
24/09/2008
Companies looking for ways to weather the credit crunch may wish to look at search engine optimisation (SEO) to improve their online presence, it has been claimed.
Experts at the Internet Advertising Bureau say that having a well-organised SEO system within businesses can help boost revenue and sales.
Jack Wallington, programmes manager at the site, notes that using pay per click systems can provide firms with a "100 per cent measurable" way of marketing.
Coupled with information on sales and enquiries, companies using pay per click will be able to analyse how strong their web presence is and how effective their campaign is.
He commented: "We're all searching for the right answer and search marketing is definitely top of the answer barrel.
"Any marketer worth their salt knows that search is a safe bet for return on investment."
In related news, experts at Vizcom Design have suggested that the credit crunch is not a good reason to reduce the budget for SEO.
