Keyword list 'essential for blogging and SEO'

Companies looking to maximise their exposure online and appear higher in search engine rankings have been advised to provide bloggers and copywriters with a list of keywords.

An expert at MarketingSherpa.com noted that many firms fail to provide this information, which is important for more than just search engine optimisation.

By giving writers keywords, articles and stories that appear on the site will enable prospective clients to see exactly what the company can offer them, according to Anne Holland.

She commented: "Nothing is more compelling than speaking in a prospect's language - describing their own desire or pain to them in exactly the words they would use."

Ms Holland pointed out that repeated phrases are unlikely to be noticed by visitors to webpages as the whole back-catalogue of work will not be read.
