"Content is king" claims expert

16/09/2008

A web marketing expert has claimed that when trying to improve search engine optimisation (SEO), the content is of key importance.

Misty Locke, president of Range Online Media, advised companies trying to improve their online presence to learn how to break up their products into categories and subcategories, reports DMNews.com.

According to Ms Locke, by conducting research into the search techniques and keywords used by their target audience, businesses can improve their sales.

She commented: "Content is king, but only if it's the right content. A good store structure matches the right content with the right context."

Ms Locke also recommends looking at the competition to see how they market products and split up their items into different categories.

SEO tips on seo-writer.com advise firms to look for a web address in the country they target, to use bold deep-linking wherever possible and to use titles for links to help visually impaired surfers.
