Adobe Systems has announced that it has acquired a Danish imaging software provider to aid the expansion of Adobe Scene7.

To speed up the growth of Adobe Scene7, the company has bought YaWah ApS to help deliver rich media for ecommerce and multi-channel marketing companies.

Adobe hopes that the company will be able to provide better services to European firms requiring rich media due to the improved customer base and the "excellent product" that YaWah has built.

Doug Mack, vice president and general manager of consumer and hosted solutions at Adobe, commented: "YaWah's market knowledge and technology, integrated with Scene7, will ensure that European companies have immediate access to hosted media solutions that are transforming the online experience."

Adobe's on demand rich media platform provides businesses with services such as eCatalogs, dynamic imaging and eVideos for their websites.

The company claims the Scene7 will help businesses to shorten the sales cycle by up to 75 per cent and reduce return rates by ten per cent.ADNFCR-1679-ID-18778802-ADNFCR
