Worldofgood.com sells products created from recycled or natural materials, as well as organic goods and items made by people in developing countries.
The website makes use of a verification system where its sellers and products are accredited by organisations such as Transfair USA, Co-op America and Aid to Artisans.
Blogs, articles, discussion boards and question-and-answer forums are also available on the website.
"Regardless of the social causes most important to consumers, they can easily shop for items according to a variety of different attributes, allowing them to customise their shopping impact," commented Robert Chatwani, general manager of Worldofgood.com.
The Centurion Luxury Living Index recently suggested that a growing number of affluent consumers are spending more on ethical goods, the Independent reports.
