High quality user experience 'vital to SEO'

Businesses looking to enhance their search engine optimisation (SEO) activities must focus on delivering high quality, relevant content, an expert has advised.
Search engines favour good content above many other factors and to this end it is essential to produce keyword-rich, themed pages that imply the website in question is an "authority" on a given topic, Mark Jackson of Search Engine Watch stated.
He added that it is not enough to create just one page to emphasise one major keyword, as search engines are more likely to take to websites that have a range of authoritative content using that term.
"It's no mystery. Google wants to give their users a quality experience when they search. You must strive to deliver a high quality user experience when people visit your website," Mr Jackson commented.
SEO expert Shawn Moore recently said at the Search Engine Strategies conference in San Jose that content is important for both search marketing purposes and for giving web users a good first impression, WebProNews reports.
