New website design for ITV2

ITV 2 has unveiled a new website design, according to New Media Age.

The site now makes extensive use of Web 2.0 features thanks to a partnership with online portal Netvibes, the news source reports.

Users of the ITV2 site can now tailor the look and feel of the website to their own preferences, as well as utilise their favourite widgets and add RSS feeds.

The website will also make widgets specifically designed for new reality show CelebAir available to users.

According to Kate Bradshaw, head of online commissioning at ITV.com, the redesign was undertaken with a view to reaching the channel's more "digitally literate" viewers.

She said: "We've worked with Netvibes as people use a lot of different sites to keep up with news and social networks. So users can aggregate all those different feeds so the site is relevant to them."
