Volvo takes top spot in website study
21/08/2008
A new survey has revealed that consumers believe Volvo has the most user-friendly website compared with other vehicle manufacturer.
Conducted by Global Reviews, the research showed that Volvo was also thought to have the best online customer support service, Netimperative reports.
BMW came joint second with Volkswagen, while Mercedes and Audi took joint fourth place.
Honda fell two places to seventh spot, however, as a result of its poor customer experience rating, Global Reviews said.
The websites were ranked on the basis of factors such as information availability, customer support, vehicle owner support and the overall usability of the website design.
"The vast majority of consumers depend on websites to research their options when buying a car," commented Global Reviews director Adam Goodvach.
"Car companies are missing a trick if they do not provide their customers with the best possible online experience."
Global Reviews is a research firm based in Australia with a branch in the UK.
