SEO tips for Christmas campaigns

Businesses planning their Christmas online marketing campaigns early have been offered tips on the most important issues to consider by Jason Lee Miller of WebProNews.

The expert said that some of the key factors to bear in mind include landing pages, link building and content.

Landing pages should be as relevant as possible to the search result or ad that the user clicked on to keep potential customers on the website, he advised, stating: "Nothing's more annoying than having to search on a search engine and then search again on a website.

"Landing pages should be highly specific and should be easy to navigate to a sale."

He also recommended that search optimisation professionals start to obtain links anchored with specific keywords sooner rather than later to improve relevancy in Google and to ensure that website content is pertinent, engaging and rich in natural keywords.
