Businesses that are just starting out on the internet would do well to seek outside help when it comes to search engine marketing.

This is according to advice offered by E-consultancy's Graham Charlton, who remarked that consulting a search engine optimisation company could be the best route for new firms seeking online success.

"If a business is just starting off and doesn't know what they're doing with search engine optimisation, it's best that they get someone to do that side of things for them," he commented.

Mr Charlton also suggested that companies focus on keywords when making their websites search engine-friendly and look into the potential offered by paid search.

Google recently added a new feature to its Keyword Tool for AdWords users which reveals search volume data to online marketers, helping businesses to see how many searches are being made using their key terms.ADNFCR-1679-ID-18707649-ADNFCR
