Acrobat 9 'holds benefits for SEM'

The latest version of Adobe's Acrobat software suite holds a number of benefits for those operating in search engine marketing (SEM), according to Michael Folkers of Adobe.
Speaking to Search Engine Land's Grant Crowell, Mr Folkers said that documents created with Acrobat 9 are likely to have a much bigger impact on consumers being targeted by marketers than other types of communications media.
"The reason for that is that not only does it include video, but it also includes all of the other elements into a cohesive, branded method for delivering information that's really quite engaging," he said.
Mr Crowell noted in his blog post that this is one feature that could be of particular use for search engine optimisation (SEO) specialists with little technical expertise, as being able to directly insert video files into a PDF is easier than brushing up on their video production skills.
Adobe recently offered a potential boost for the SEO sector by announcing a partnership with Google and Yahoo! to increase the searchability of Flash content through these search engines.
