Vodafone looks to MySpace for music event advertising

Mobile operator Vodafone has announced the formation of a new deal with MySpace to market its range of music events.

The Vodafone Music Reporter profile will offer information, images and video content about events such as Music Unlimited Cologne in Germany and the Vodafone TBAs in the UK.

Users can share their own experiences of these events by uploading pictures and other media, as well as obtain updates through the Vodafone Music Reporter blog.

"It's a perfect fit for Vodafone and highlights the possibilities available to advertisers on MySpace," remarked Nick Reid, UK sales head for MySpace.

Vodafone signed deals with the likes of MySpace, Google, eBay, YouTube and Yahoo! Mail when it launched its mobile internet service last year.

The agreements enabled users of the service to visit these websites and carry out a range of tasks and activities as they normally would on a PC.ADNFCR-1679-ID-18661618-ADNFCR
